2026 Capstone Expo Winners
Award Criteria
Teams were judged based on:
- Rooting their designs in engineering fundamentals
- Applying design solutions while considering all relevant technical and social outcomes, including public health, safety, and welfare
- Addressing the needs of people, groups, or organizations that impact or are impacted by the project
- Effectively communicating the project’s goals and its potential impact in a way that is understandable to a wide range of audiences; and
- Demonstrating an understanding and consideration of ethical implications surrounding their solution
Based on those criteria, our judges have chosen a winner from each engineering discipline. Each team will receive $250 to donate to a charity of its choice: (1) Campus Pantry; (2) Student Crisis Fund; or (3) Sustainability Fund.
Congratulations to the following teams on winning each award.
