About

At our first annual Expo, students from Maryland Engineering’s civil and environmental, aerospace, mechanical, and bioengineering programs will showcase solutions to some of society’s most pressing challenges. Their solutions will be judged by experts in their respective fields with winners receiving cash prizes.

Our Capstone Expo is an expansion of individual departments' Annual Design Day, where teams of students present project prototypes built to solve selected engineering problems.

The Capstone Design Expo is sponsored by the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.
