Project Description:

This project focuses on the design and development of an automated tensile testing machine loader capable of preloading, testing, and sorting over 30 material samples with minimal human intervention. The system integrates a rotating carousel for organized sample storage, a robotic arm for precise sample handling, and a sensor-based verification station to ensure successful pickup and placement. A timing belt–driven mechanism enables accurate positioning of samples using a stepper motor, while a custom designed loading environment ensures reliability and consistency across varying specimen sizes. By automating the loading and unloading process, the system significantly reduces manual labor, increases testing throughput, and enables efficient overnight operation.
