ENME6: DUSS (Doorway Universal Sealing System)

Reusable Doorway Barrier for Construction Sites

DUSS (Doorway Universal Sealing System) project image

Project Description:

This project focuses on the design and development of a reusable construction doorway barrier intended to contain dust and debris while maintaining accessibility and ease of installation. Exposure to construction dust, particularly respirable crystalline silica, presents serious health risks, making effective sealing systems essential in workplace environments. Current solutions often rely on tape-based sealing methods, which are time-consuming, wasteful, and difficult to reuse. The goal of this project was to develop a more efficient, reusable, and user-friendly alternative that meets safety standards while improving usability and sustainability.
