Project Description:
The Jazz Hands project aimed to create a wearable musical glove that generates and controls musical tones using hand gestures. By using flex sensors and a motion sensor with a custom synthesizer engine, the glove translates finger flexion and wrist rotation into expressive musical input. Users can trigger chords, change oscillator waveforms, and modify sound parameters such as pitch, volume, and filter effects in real time. Inspired by the 1989 Nintendo Power Glove, this project combines hardware and software to create an interactive musical experience.
