Project Description:
Every year, thousands of people get lost while on hiking trips that require search and rescue teams to perform rescues to save them. Many of these incidents are a direct result of not having access to charge their phones to find directions or call emergency personnel. Our project is a small portable generator that charges a portable charger using solar panels and a hand crank, so that in case of any emergency a lost hiker can call for help or find the right way to get home.
