Bike Parking

CEE9 project image
This map contains the optimal e-scooter parking locations, as well as the bike racks surveyed and their current usage.

Project Description:

With the increasing reliance on sustainable modes of transportation, such as regular bikes, electric bikes,
scooters, and shared micro-mobility solutions, the need for well-planned, accessible, and equitable parking facilities on
the university's campus is evident. This project provides a comprehensive strategy for the allocation of bicycle and e-
scooter parking locations within the campus. The approach takes into account crucial factors like accessibility and
parking demand which we have compiled using a 6-week data collection in the four most populated zones on campus to find the best distribution of the university resources to allocate new parking loops on campus. The project also takes
into account the growing e-scooter usage on campus by providing possible solutions to the scooter charging issue we
are faced with.
