Project Description:
Public entities are often at a disadvantage when faced with managing public construction
projects due to their current structure. Poor structure leads to project complications such as
schedule delays, cost overruns, and frustration between all parties involved largely due to
communication and coordination issues. With that being said, the proposed solution is to create
a designated management team responsible for internal/external communication, streamlining
contract oversight, enforcing clear roles, responsibilities, and deadlines for all parties involved
within the project scope. The management team would match the efficiency and tenacity of
private business operations while maintaining the transparency and accountability required of
the public sector.
