Enhancing Data Quality For Bicycle Parking Locations At The University of Maryland Campus

Project Description:

The exponential rise in micromobility users on the University Of Maryland (UMD) campus has resulted in the need to update the university’s current understanding of micromobility systems. The surge in micromobility, predominantly bicycles and electric scooters, has introduced various concerns such as inadequate bicycle parking allocation, safety hazards due to collisions, heightened risk of theft, and outdated micromobility infrastructure. In order to comprehensively address these issues, a robust data collection approach using Qualtrics surveying and interviews with UMD-affiliate organizations was employed.
