Project Description:

A portable, actuator assisted sit-to-stand device designed to help the elderly safely transition from sitting to standing in everyday home environments such as bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces. The device is designed to support up to 300 lbf, ensuring structural reliability while reducing the physical effort required from the user. By combining stability, ergonomic design, and controlled assistance, the system improves safety, reduces fall risk, and preserves user independence without requiring a caregiver or bulky medical equipment.
