Project Description:
The SCORPION rover will make use of its combination manipulator system, consisting of a telescoping industrial crane and two 7-Degree-of-Freedom robotic arms with interchangeable end effectors, to adequately perform service operations on a South Pole lunar base. These operations include but are not limited to payload loading and transportation, fine dexterous manipulation, near-base exploration and surveying, and overall base maintenance.
