Project Description:
Impedance spectroscopy can be used for biomedical applications, such for biomedical material characterization (materials like DNA and cells), cancer detection and virus detection. We seek to design an open source impedance spectrometer for cancer/virus detection. For the base design, we set out maximum operating frequency as 1 MHz, with a target audience being professionals in biomedical industries, such as cancer and virus researchers. The impedance spectrometer will provide a current signal at a particular frequency, measuring the voltage phasor, while supplying the other input quantity to obtain the impedance.
