Project Description:

ENME472 Team C4 identified that smaller drones have potential to complete missions that larger drone cannot, such as flying indoors or near people. However, these smaller vehicles are often limited by flight time. The UAV Docking Station is an unmanned platform that is used to remotely swap the batteries onboard a small multirotor aircraft at a target mission location. This serves the function to extend the flight time at the desired target location to maximize the capabilities that are associated with operating a smaller drone. Its reduced form factor and lower cost, targets an untapped area in the drone accessory market.
