Why don't you GOAL?

GOAL Launch, Learn, and Land kit

Project Description:

The Get Outside And Learn (GOAL) program delivers 2400 hands-on kits a year to middle school students across the state, introducing them to STEM concepts in a fun way. In addition to providing the physical kits, GOAL programming includes design challenge events bringing as many as 600 students to campus at a time. The kit hardware is developed and manufactured by undergraduate students on campus and the curriculum is made in collaboration with local teacher partners.

The Launch, Learn, and Land kit is the culmination of three semesters of student innovation designing hardware and testing curriculum. The latest semester’s effort focused on improving the user experience and the design was evolved through four test events. The final product will go into production starting Summer 2025 with a 1000 kit manufacturing run and the organization of a four-school large scale event in July.
