Project Description:
Public construction projects often face costly delays due to stagnant communication between public agencies and the project team. The goal of this project is to develop and define the roles of a specialized team to address these inefficiencies within public construction projects. The specialized team is made up of senior members which represent the different departments within a standard agency. The team will improve management of complex construction projects by streamlining communication and information to relevant departments. There will be weekly meetings designed to ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner, maintain checks and balances between departments, and keep each department well informed about the project status. By holding the entire public entity accountable through this specialized team, delays caused by long response times will decrease, which will in turn make the construction process run more smoothly. This project defines each team member's roles and responsibilities in detail and set the standard practices for the group.
